Welcome to the Broward Housing and Community Development Task Force
The purpose of this organization is to promote and support programs related to affordable housing and other needs.
Members of this Task Force are made up of non-profits, faith based, government, for-profit organizations and entrepreneurs'.This allows us to have a broad base of partnerships assist in creating innovative initiatives for the Broward County Community.
Representatives of the Broward Housing & Community Development Task Force will travel to Orlando for the Florida Housing Coalition's 23rd Annual Statewide Affordable Housing Conference. The theme for this year’s event is "The Next Stop on the Route to Recovery". Considering our current housing market, this truly is a new day for housing. We must re-evaluate our housing strategies in order to effectively assist Floridians in obtaining and sustaining affordable housing. The conference will have four exciting tracks on Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP); Green Housing; Preservation; and Case Studies. Also offered will be traditional sessions covering the nuts and bolts of how to finance and build affordable home ownership and rental housing in Florida.
